Adventure by Disney adds more Europe tours for 2023: Travel Weekly

Adventures by Disney’s tour itineraries for 2023 include its first experiences in Sicily and Northern Ireland.

The two new Land Adventures, led by the brand’s specially trained Adventure Guides, feature immersive, authentic experiences marked by signature Disney service.

The eight-day, seven-night Sicily Land Adventure stops at five of the seven Unesco World Heritage Sites on the island and visits Palermo, Monreale, Agrigento, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Syracuse, Mount Etna and Taormina. Highlights include a behind-the-scenes visit to Palermo’s Teatro Massimo, the largest opera house in Italy; a visit to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento; a chartered boat ride to swim and snorkel in the Ionian Sea, exploring Taormina’s Isola Bella; a private show and backstage look at a puppet theater; and exploring Mount Etna via off-road vehicle.

Adventures by Disney will offer 10 Sicily departures in 2023, three of which are reserved for adult guests and feature a scenic sunset cruise around Ortygia, the small island that was the center of ancient Syracuse.

The 10-day, nine-night British Isles Land Adventure visits Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and England.

Highlights include visits to a distillery and to one of the oldest family-owned pubs in Dublin; touring Belfast and the Antrim Coast, including a visit to the Giant’s Causeway, in Northern Ireland; a chance to play the bagpipes in Glasgow and private access to the Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh; and afternoon tea, a high-speed boat ride on the Thames and a private viewing of the Crown Jewels in London.

Adventures by Disney will offer nine British Isles departures in 2023, four of which are reserved for adult guests and will include a privately guided tour through the underground vaults of Old Town Edinburgh.

The return of Private Adventures

Also in 2023, 11 Private Adventure vacations return, providing families and friends with the convenience of traveling with their preferred party of up to 12 guests to some of the world’s must-see destinations, including Australia; Costa Rica; Egypt; England and France; Greece; Ireland; Italy; New Zealand; Peru; South Africa; and Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

These small-group trips are led by a Private Adventure Guide and offer flexible booking dates.

Bookings for the full lineup of 2023 Land Adventures and Private Adventures open to the public on May 13.
