Bringing Hotel Life Home

A complete home, ready to rent with furnishings, art and in-residence amenities, the new InterContinental Residences are ideal for busy executives relocating to Jakarta or those looking for a convenient vacation home. All you need is the key.

When time is of the essence, the appeal of a turnkey home, cannot be denied. InterContinental Hotels Group debuted their first residence in Indonesia with InterContinental Residences Jakarta Pondok Indah in October 2020.

“InterContinental Hotels and Resorts has been pioneering luxury travel across the globe since 1946 and we are delighted to extend the brand in Indonesia with the opening of InterContinental Residences Jakarta Pondok Indah in the exclusive Pondok Indah neighbourhood in Jakarta. With its strategic location and unrivalled facilities, the Residences is primed to be the premier choice for discerning business executives as their preferred home in South Jakarta,” said Piero Bellizzi, General Manager of InterContinental Residences and Hotel Jakarta Pondok Indah.

Located in the business, shopping and entertainment district of South Jakarta, the 25-storey contemporary building is designed by Design Development Group (DDG) from the United States; known for their functional and aesthetically appealing designs that suits its purpose and location. The Residences have their own entrance and lobby but are integrated with the existing high-end Pondok Indah Malls and the eponymous five-star hotel for unparalleled convenience. There are luxurious facilities on-site and in surrounding areas. The building connects to the hotel’s main dining venues: Sugar & Spice, The Lobby Lounge and Shio Japanese Teppanyaki restaurants. Effortless flow and access to the facilities heavily influenced the building design.

One of the strong selling points of this apartment is its proximity to premier healthcare facilities, international schools, recreational and family-friendly activities, as well as the world-class Pondok Indah Golf Course. The location also provides easy access to the international airport and central business district.

Residents can keep active using state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness centre, steam room and sauna; and a 25-metre swimming pool, located on the lush outdoor area on the eighth floor. There is 24-hour reception, security and maintenance, residence lounge, high-speed Internet, international TV channels and regular housekeeping services – all the facilities and amenities a luxury hotel would provide, but guests do not ever have to check out.

With sweeping views of the city and lush green fairway below, the fully-furnished interiors were designed by the award-winning Hirsch Bedner Associates Singapore. The 193 turnkey dwellings are configured in one, two and three bedroom units, and four-bedroom penthouses. All units are meticulously designed to blend modern and classic style with function. The custom-made furniture is from well-known names in the Indonesian furniture industry. There is a fully equipped contemporary kitchen with an electronic stove and the dining room comes complete with chinaware, cutlery and water dispenser. All the bathrooms feature a separate rain shower and bathtub. The living rooms have a plasma TV with interactive system for a personalised experience.

Ready to move in, the Residences offer the same impeccable quality in design and services you would expect from an InterContinental hotel, and that includes the curated artworks that grace each apartment unit by renowned Indonesian artist, Haryanto Gunawan. Coveted for his vibrant colours and emotionally stimulating paintings, his concept for the Residences is ‘a journey of life and love’, igniting the vibrant colours that love brings to one’s life via the artist’s imagination. The paintings in the public lobby and lounge areas titled ‘Stand by Me’ and ‘Nirvana’, embody dynamic texture and colours which inspired the fabric, such as the carpet design, used throughout the project.

Environmental sustainability is important at InterContinental Residences Jakarta Pondok Indah. The facilities are supported by the IHG Green Engage system, an innovative online environmental sustainability system provides properties the means to measure and manage their impact on the environment. This system also recommends actions to improve performance.

A hassle-free life is the epitome of luxury because there is no greater luxury than living in a hotel forever. Here, in the affluent neighbourhood of Pondok Indah, is everything a pied-à-terre can be.
